photoshop for pc, trouble reading .rsrc

A friend of mine, awhile back, designed some graphics on his Mac using Photoshop. I'm now trying desparately to read and edit these files using my PC. He sent them to me in .sit format, which I extracted using STuffit. They came out as filename.psd.rsrc. This is my problem, as photoshop on the PC doesn't seem to recognize the file due to the .rsrc extension. Is there an effective way of translating this file?

Hi Jan 4, 2005

It is hard to say something not seeing the files. Try the simplest thing: rename filename.psd.rsrc to filename.psd and see if it helps; it might be just a filename problem.

Otherwise please feel free to contact me through my profile. In case you send me one of the files in both .sit and unzipped formats I'll see if I would be able to help you.

Natalia
