Keyboard does not work with any Word doc

As I was trying to do some formating, I must have pushed a wrong button and now my keyboard does not work whatsoever with any Word document. What I mean is that I cannot type, write or even delete anything from any word doc. It functions fine if I try to email a message, or write here, but not if I try to do something on a Word document.

What can I do? I have Microsoft Office Word 2003.

on its own.

I rebooted the system and it works fine now...
