It may be too late for this time, but I\'ve only just seen your message.
I\'ve often found \"lost files\" in the Word folder (C:/Windows/Application Data/Microsoft/Word).
Sometimes they also turn up in the Temp folder of Windows. I save automatically every minute, and can usually find documents that I accidentally lose.
