Dear colleagues,
I'm currently working on an .xls file within SDL Edit. However, when I click on "preview translation" or "create translation" the translation is incomplete. Although the .itd file has been saved, the preview .xls file only contains some parts of the translation.
I recreated the .itd file again, this time using the SDLX Wizard, then applied the previously translated TM etc, but the problem stays the same.

Has anybody experienced this problem as well? Any advice? Thanks in advance!
Now I know what the problem is: The client activated "Write protection" for some parts of the document. Great
I sometimes have experience about incompleted translation preview of *.itd file. This was originated from my ignorance of paint formatting in SDL Edit application. Pain formatting is the way how SDLX manages with attributes of translated segments e.g. bold, italic, underline, new font, new font color etc. I set SDL Edit into Pain format mode and clear out incomplete translations.

Although this wasn't the problem in my case.
It was just about the writing protection the client had activated as SLDX won't create translations from those types of docs (I guess..).
However, many thanks for your feedback!
Best Regards,
Verena
