Hallo,gerade, als ich wieder am Überlegen war, ob es für "Checkliste" auch deutsche Begriffe gibt (ja, gibt es) fragte ich mich, ob es wohl irgendwo eine Referenz für "Denglish_Deutsch" gibt, wo dann aus "Aktionsplan" wieder "Maßnahmenplan" wird, u.s.w.- ich bin mal gespannt, ob das jemandem schon begegnet ist :-ö) es wird ja langsam Zeit, immerhin gibt es ja auch "Frau-Deutsch", "Hessisch-Deutsch" etc.

Wir leben vom B2B-Business, werden mit Stockoptions verwöhnt, profitieren vom Shareholder-Value, sind über unsere Domain zu erreichen und über das WAP-Handy sowieso. Nur mit dem Balancing gibt´s Probleme - high risk but high fun.
Vielleicht hilft ein Sabbatical. Relaxen and more. Miles sammeln wir First class auf dem Businesstrip, wo uns die Stewardess - sorry, die Flight Attendance - umsorgt. Wie efficient, als VIP am Counter die Junior Suite upgraden zu können. Und im Wellness-Bereich powern wir uns fit, um beim Date mit dem Headhunter den besten Eindruck zu hinterlassen.
Young professionals sollten also schleunigst Denglisch lernen, falls ihr Vokabular noch Defizite aufweist. Denn schließlich muss die Performance stimmen. Response erhält nur, wer lean nicht auf seine Rhetorik bezieht.
Und wie sieht man das woanders:
As a native English speaker who is currently learning German, I find it irritating and nauseating that many Germans slavishly try to ape the English-speaking world, instead of appreciating and contributing to their own language and culture. I have no desire to live in a world where we are all the same, linguistically and culturally, and feel that the Germans have a tremendous amount to offer, but only if they stop apologizing for being German and start being proud of the fact. -- Joseph McBride, Nottingham, UK
I think "Denglish" is bad for both languages. The use of English catch phrases and slang ignores the perfectly good words and phrases available in German, and allows the advertisers and politicians to diffuse the meanings of words so that they gain control or avoid accountability. It also frustrates those who do speak English well, because the Denglish words do not mean the same as they would in proper English, which again leads to confusion in meaning and frustration in communications. -- Teresa J S Drag
