Guten Abend,
ich kann weder Studio-, noch MultiTerm-SP1 installieren.
Ich bekomme folgende Fehlermeldung:
Set-up did not complete. The error is:
Package 'OldARPEntryRemoval' could not be installed. Der Befehl 'regedit.exe" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder konnte nicht gefunden werden. Error number: 1.
Ich habe die Programme mit Admistrator-Rechten (Windwos 7 Ultimate, 32 Bit) installiert und meinen Virenscanner vorher deaktiviert.

Hallo,
erstmal könnest Du prüfen, ob die Datei vorhanden ist. Sollte unter C:\Windows\ sein.
Falls sie nicht vorhanden ist findet search noch eine weitere Kopie, die die evtl. in den Windows Ordner kopieren kannst. Es könnte aber sein, dass mit Deiner Installation etwas nicht in Ordnung ist, oder bei einem früheren Virusbefall die Datei gelöscht wurde..
Wenn vorhanden: könnte Virus sein, der dieses Verhalten absichtlich herbeiführt. Erstmal einen Komplettscan machen. Wenn Dein Virenscanner nichts findet, könntest Du z.B. malwarebytes installieren und damit einen Durchgang machen. Das Programm gibts in kostenloser Version und hat auf Heise recht gute Benotungen: http://www.heise.de/software/download/malwarebytes_anti_malware/59624
Vielleicht kommst Du damit einen Schritt weiter..

Hallo Waltraud,
vielen Dank.
Die Datei kann aber nicht auf meiner Festplatte sein, da sie Teil v. SP1 ist.
Und meine Festplatten sind clean.
Abgesehen davon hängt m. E. diese Meldung eher mit Windows-Rechten oder mit einer falschen Ordner-Zuweisung zusammen.

der Fehler war aber doch der obige, oder? Deine Anwendung konnte nicht installiert werden, weil regedit.exe nicht gefunden wurde. So habe ich zumindest die Meldung

interpretiert. Daher wäre es sinnvoll zu prüfen, ob die Datei regedit.exe auf Deinem System vorhanden ist. Es ist das Programm zum Modifizieren der Windows Registry, das auch von manchen Viren "maskiert" werden kann.
Regedit ist ein Bestandteil des Betriebssystems - daher sollte es vorhanden sein, egal, was Du sonst für Programme installierst.

Liebe Waltraud,
ich weiß, was Regedit ist und editiere sie manchmal (vor allen Dingen um Reste einer Software nach einer sauberen Deinstallation zu entfernen - und nach einem neuen System-Aufsetzen, um Windows nach meinen Wünschen zu konfigurieren).
Und wenn mein System ohne Regedit wäre, würde es gar nicht mehr starten!!!
Das Problem liegt daran, dass SP1 Regedit nicht findet.

bitte entschuldige, wenn ich Offensichtliches erwähnt habe - ich wollte nicht irgendwie überheblich erscheinen. Ich will nur versuchen zu helfen, mit den begrenzten Informationen, die ich habe...
Dass mit dem regedit.exe Programm was ist, fällt wahrscheinlich nur auf, wenn man die registry tatsächlich editieren will - wie Du es erwähnt hast oder durch Installationsprogramm, nicht bei anderen normalen Aktionen.
Kannst Du mit Admistratorrechten regedit.exe noch aufrufen? Das würde dann ja die Frage direkt beantworten, ob das Programm auf dem System an der regulären Stelle vorhanden ist und die Rechtezuordnung für den Benutzer, mit dem Du die Installation durchführen willst, passt.
Ich bin so hartnäckig, weil ich gestern auch SP1 auf Win7 32 bit installiert habe und dieses Problem bei mir nicht aufgetreten ist. Daher würde ich erstmal prüfen, ob alles außer der SP1 Installation regedit.exe findet oder ob das ein allgemeines Problem ist.
Das bisher geschriebene wäre für mich der erste Ansatz, um der Ursache näher zu kommen, aber jeder hat da wahrscheinlich sein eigenes Vorgehen.

ich kann Regedit ohne Probleme aufmachen.
Ich versuche die Frage im englischen Forum zu stellen, vielleicht weiß jemand Bescheid.
Sonst bin ich ratlos.

PS: Da es Du installieren konntest, bedeutet noch gar nichts, da jede Rechnerkonfiguration anders ist. Und ich möchte nicht unbedingt, Studio 2011 deinstallieren, da ich zwei Projekte bis Anfang des Jahres abschließen muss.

jemand hat mir netterweise eine E-Mail mit der Lösung geschickt:
Search for a folder, like Package
Cache\SDL\SDLTradosStudio2011SP1\modules (under Windows 7, it is somewhere under ProgData folder, or so.
Next, doubleclick on RemoveStudioARPEntry.reg, and confirm the OK.
Nex, you will be able to install the program through TranslationStudio2.msi in the same folder.
You should do the same thing with Multiterm (Package Cache\SDL\SDLMultiTerm2011SP1\modules,
RemoveMTARPEntry.reg).
Es hat tadellos funktioniert.
