Hi,

I'm sorry for writing again in English, but this one I wanted to share and there will be a bit in German:)

Unfortunately I don't have time to study German properly, but of course I'm picking it up. One of the nicest experiences are talks with children.

Yesterday, when I was picking up my son from kindergarten I had a conversation with a boy named Leon:

Leon: Ich mag Titus (probably he meant that he likes Titus)
Me: Ajaa, ich glaube Titus mag dich auch. Hast du Bruderchen oder Schwesterchen?
Leon: I habe Anna aber sie ist grosse, 10.
Me: Und wie alt bist du?
Leon (very seriously): Ich bin 6 aber in Strassebahn muss ich sagen fünf.

I can't stop laughing.

Natalia

Ukrainian vs. German children - both well educated May 4, 2005

Hi, it's relly nice reading this among all those serious messages and money matters discussions. Well, normally the Ukrainians are said to be so smart, cheating a bit.... (Unfortunately this is a nasty prejudice.) German children are worse.
