To have a jump in the dish = einen Sprung in den Schüssel haben

To have not all cups in the board = nicht alle Tassen im Schrank haben

Slow going is all trucks beginning = Müßiggang ist aller Laster Anfang

To have a board before your head = ein Brett vorm Kopf haben

Give not so on = gib nicht so an

Und mein persönlicher Favorit, den ich im ersten Jahr meiner Lehrertätigkeit von einer Schülerin bekommen habe:

Ich: \"See you next week.\"

Schülerin: \"I fry myself\" = ich freue mich.

In memoriam
Denglish persönlich Aug 9, 2002

We were just married, knew very little German, living in a flat in Cologne. My wife, who had some problem with her eye at the time, said to our landlady \"Ich habe ein schlechtes Ei!\" (much to the landlady\'s amusement).

It shines, that Denglish a heavy language is.

(Falls es jemand nicht versteht: Ich verstehe Bahnhof. Es scheint, dass Denglisch eine schwere Sprache ist.)

He, he Aug 9, 2002

I doubt that it sounds funny to the English native speakers, but it was a \"sport\" during my highschool time and we had a lot of fun.

Like:

How goes it you - wie geht es dir

You are so as so house-high throughfallen - Du bist sowieso haushoch durchgefallen

This one I always liked best:

I am today heavy on wire - ich bin heute schwer auf Draht

It\'s not for English but for Denglish native speakers, and to them it won\'t sound funny too, they simply will understand it.
