You don't need google to get paid. Through this page outsourcers contact you and than you and the outsourcer decide and agree upon the payment methode. If you would like to have paypal/moneybooker.... so on displayed on your profile than go to: My proz, My profile and Contact information. Also, on your profile you can go to settings, and set up your e-mail prefernces in order to receive job notifications. Regards

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. What do you want to use Google Checkout for? To sell your services as a translator? As I understand it, Google Checkout is designed to simplify financial transactions over the Internet, so I guess it should theoretically be possible. A better question, though, is whether any of your potential clients would be willing to use it. I can only speak from my own experience, but I have found that my customers prefer to use a payment method of their own choosing. Most seem to prefer interbank transfers, but some use PayPal or Moneybookers. My US clients have all paid by check.
However, your first step in getting established should be to work on your profile. As it stands, it practically shouts, "Don't hire me -- I have no experience." It's not enough to say you speak some languages. The only information in your profile that would attract a customer is your statement that you are a medical student, so you must have some medical expertise. I suggest highlighting that in such a way that you express confidence in your ability to translate in the field.
And if you have done any translations at all -- outside of language classes, that is -- list them. ▲ Collapse
