Hey, well, I just came to this site and I\'m totaly new here. So,what\'s my problem? Well, I live in Croatia where I\'m working for a NGO (translating serbo-croatian-german-english). Now I\'m wondering about expanding my work, but I have NO idea how to do it. I\'m native speaker of serbo-croatian and german,my english is very good. AND I wouldn\'t know how much could I charge for my work (here in Croatia 1A4 page costs 5 EURO and that\'s VERY good, when people earn 300 EURO/month). But I guess this cannot be compared to this situation... SO,any help would be great...how to make my CV better or WHAT to write there, how this works and do I even hav a chance???

THNX for your support!!! MINA

Welcome, Jasmina!

It\'s very difficult to give you general advice - this business is far too diversified and complex for simple instructions.

What I would suggest is to browse the forums; particularly in this forum, there have been quite a number of threads where beginners were asking more specific questions (how to specialise, how to get contacts, etc.). Check out the information given there, and you will probably find quite a number of valuable pieces - I\'m afraid assembling the puzzle will remain your task...

Good luck, Ralf
