Argentina : validation of foreign degree

I am trying to establish myself as a translator in Argentina, and in order to register with the "Colegio de Traductores" they require that I have my UK university degree (in Interpreting & Translating) validated by the State University in a city offering a similar course.

I was just wondering if anyone had experience of a similar situation. Can anyone give me some advice as to what documents are required? It may be that, having no contacts in the sphere of bureaucracy, it could be a bit of a lost cause, but any advice would be great.
