Here are the qualifications and salary range for a Senior Project Manager (Academia) in Boston. For London, you should look at total compensation package (all benefits), not just the salary to help you finalize your decision. You then balance that information against all of your potential expenses (and we all know London isn't cheap)to determine if you want to go this way.
Master of Arts Degree in translation or related field; 1-2 years experience with the translation business; fluency in at least one foreign language; ability to deal professionally with clients; ability to show sensitivity to the needs of immigrants and international visitors; advanced level of expertise in computer hardware and software, including Macintosh and Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, desktop publishing software, sound file editing, and Web applications, such as QuarkExpress, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe PageMaker, Acrobat, and Illustrator, Soundforge; Macromedia Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks; knowledge of interoperability of these software applications with multilingual standards. Knowledge of translation memory tools such as SDLX, Trados, or DéjàVu desirable.

The Translation Project Manager is responsible for evaluating and

Full Time Senior Project Manager and Project Manager Position
We are looking to hire both a full-time Senior Project Manager and a Project Manager.
This is NOT a technical/IT position. Previous language services industry experience preferred, must be energetic and a team player. Security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance are preferred.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Management of project/client requirements
Effectively communicate (written and verbal) with clients, operations, and translators
Set guidelines, schedule and timetables
Troubleshoot/problem-solve client and translator issues
Interface/manage translation resources
Report project status with daily/weekly reports, both written and verbal
Actively participate in process improvement
