Hello Everyone, I just opened my own translation company - small business in Toronto And i am wondering if i want to translate the birth certificates, what stamp do i need? Is it notarary public or i can get a stamp based on my company? Can someone help me.. Thank you Bojana

i don't know in your place, but in my place, that would depend on the client. whether the client wants to have the copy certified or not. if the client want to have certified copy, then it should be translated and sealed by the sworn/certified translator. if not, then any translator can translate the copy.

Hi Bojana, I notice you're an ATIO member - check with them and see if they have a stamp for certified members. I belong to ATIA (Alberta) and have a certified translator stamp I use for birth certificates, transcripts, and similar documents. No need for a notary public to sign.
