Hello,

Does anybody know of any translator organisation/body where I can get certification through the Internet or by post? (such as a translator's card or international translator card)? I am looking for widely recognized certifications/recognitions (international) which do not necessarily require to hold a translator diploma.

FIT ID card Dec 10, 2007

The FIT has an international translator's card (FIT ID Card) but it does not come with a "certification".
To get it you have to be a member of one of the FIT translators assocations, such as
SFT in France
IT in UK
BDÜ in Germany
etc...

These organisation have their own conditions for membership.
