G'day everyone

I bought a SATA today and although I remembered to buy a data cable, I don't seem to have a power cable for it. My PSU has only a bunch of Molex connectors. Does one get a connector or converter for Molexes or would I need to get a new PSU?

Thanks in advance
Samuel

simple solution Oct 15, 2008

There are Molex-to sata power cable converters (I use a couple of them myself). They should be very cheap (because they contain no internal circuitry) and readily available at any computer store.

(Usually the HDD manufacturer tosses one in the box with the drive.)

Thanks for that. By the way, it's been many years since I've bought a hard drive in a box. It usually comes with a plastic wrapper and that's that.
