A customer just asked me how you pronounce "WLAN" in English and I realized I wasn't sure.
Do you say "W - LAN"? (As in the letter W followed by LAN)
Do you say "wireless LAN"? (Must the word for which the W stands always be fully spoken out?)
Do you say "wa - LAN"?
Something else?

TIA!
Rebecca

UBC has a new wireless local area network that covers its huge 600-acre Vancouver campus, making it the largest and most advanced WLAN (pronounced 'wi-lan') set up by any university or college in the world.

Rebecca,
I've heard it said as "double U-Lan" and wireless Lan but never Wa-Lan.
