Irish twins at home and not really as good as gold, unfortunately !
TV works for a short while for one of my two monsters... Only. Painting is great but disastrous if I do not keep an eye... Books are ok too but not long enough...
Their favourite activity ? Fighting, for sure, which makes any word count look much longer than it really is. We forgot the "off button option" at conception I'm afraid, so I eventually decided to work at night and learn how to sleep less... (and have other people learn how to deal with an exhausted, edgy, grumpy Mymi... of course !)
Hey, be positive ! At least he's potty-trained and can go to school the rest of the year !!!

If you're lucky enough to have a son who likes lego, you can get peace while he builds. Simple dens are good - a clothes horse, some sheets and some toys inside. Plasticine/playdough. Everything else has been said already - good luck!

Thank you all for your suggestions, they were all great tips and I will certainly use them. A sitter sounds perfect. I actually hired a young girl when the eldest was 1 and the youngest a newborn, she entertained the eldest while I was working in the next room. It was a great solution for everyone and I think I will do that again this year.
And thank you Proz for creating this new forum! I am sure many of use will use it regularly.
