שיש דרישות מסוימות לטקסט שצריך להופיע בחשבונית, ותאריך התשלום זה חלק בלתי נפרד מהטקסט הזה.

התכוונתי לשאול מהם תנאי התשלום המקובלים.
בדרך כלל אני לא כותבת כלום, אבל אז קורה שלפעמים אני צריכה להזכיר ללקוחות לשלם,

מדובר ב"שוטף פלוס איקס ימים" כלומר, סוף החודש שבו נשלחה החשבונית, פלוס איקס ימים.
באופן אישי, בדרך כלל אני לא מוכן לקבל תשלומים העולים על שוטף פלוס 30, אבל בארץ נראה לי שהלקוחות גולשים כל הזמן לכיוונים אבסורדיים של 60 יום, ואפילו שמעתי על 90 יום. זה לפני איחורים...
המשמעות היא שאת נותנת ללקוח שלך הלוואה ללא ריבית ל-60 או 90 יום. אי אפשר למצוא הלוואות בתנאים כל כך טובים בשוק...
מה שכתוב על החשבונית עצמה חייב להיות תאריך שלפני סוף החודש, שכן 'הספירה לאחור' עד יום התשלום מתחילה כאמור בסוף החודש המדובר.

אני מוציא חשבונית רק לאחר קבלת התשלום

בסוף החודש אני שולח ללקוח חשבון עסקה, ורק עם קבלת התשלום אני שולח חשבונית מס/קבלה.
כבר קרה לי שלקוח פשט את הרגל, ואז לא רק שלא קיבלתי תשלום על העבודה שלי, אלא גם הייתי צריך לשלם מע"מ ומס הכנסה. הבירוקרטיה לקבלת אישור על חוב אבוד כדי שאפשר יהיה להוציא חשבונית זיכוי (חשבונית על סכום שלילי) היא נוראה ויכולה להימשך שנים. אני בשלב מסוים הרמתי ידיים.
כמו דורון, גם אני לא מוכן לתנאי תשלום של יותר משוטף פלוס 30.
