Does anyone know the estimated ratio for source word count versus target word count when translating Chinese into Korean and Japanese respectively? for example, what the number of korean word will be, if the number of source word, chinese, is 1000.

you can make an estimate yourself Oct 29, 2008

Try to find parallel texts on the internet (E.g. the declaration of human rights is available in several languages), make calculations yourself and find out the ratio.
