As long as the languages you are working with are on the list in Google Translater it's only to go to the site and write the word/expression in the window required, then find the source and target languages and the click the "Translate" button. Visit http://translate.google.com/#

Very sophisticated: Google Translate for Translators (GT4T), a small program which instantly gives you translations for selected words or expressions with CTRL-J to and from languages available in Google translate, without having to switch to your browser.
You can find it here: http://dallascao.com/en/gt4t/. I am a satisfied user for almost twoo weeks now, no afiliations..... The developer, Dallas Cao is a very helpful an kind person, a translator himself.
Kind regards, Alma | | | |

WF has to be disabled in order to use.

It works on-screen, and it does not take you to Google Translate website.
I like it very much.

I'll make sure WF offers the same service on its own then.

GT4T has two editions, one is a .dot Word Macro add-in and the other is a Windows executable running in the system tray.
Alma found GT4T Word Edition might be incompatible with the latest version of WF Classic but the Pro edition doesn't have such a problem.
The cause of incompatibly might be that WF Classic tries to disable other .dot add-ins in order to ensure it can run properly.
