in the last weeks I have been experiencing several problems with my email accounts.
I have 2: email.it and yahoo.it
As far as the first one is concerned, I know that the problem was widespread and IT technicians are trying to restore the original functions. There's a forum on this issue.
Anyway, I still cannot understand why I receive emails sent to my yahoo.it adress in BIG delay. Apparently nobody has this problem (no forum on the web).
Did anybody experience this kind of problem?
Emails simply arrive to my yahoo server 5 hours later or don't arrive at all! I don't think Outlook express's problem (even if I access my email account via yahoo site I cannot see my emails).
thank

Dear Molly,
May 26, 2004
I am absoutely out of my league here, so I am not sure that I explain this well. I had (I believe) the same problem with my own email account. I received emails sent to me after two days (from Canada) or not at all (from Spain). My client form Canada told me that there was someone (or even multiple people) sending mass spam mails and overloading the servers all over. He had had problems with it too. It so much slowed the servers down that folks received their mail after days or they got aborted because it took too long.
It seems to be resolved now at least to the client in Spain, but might not be resolved to Canada because I sent my client an email a day or so ago and have not received an answer yet.
Perhaps some of the more knowledgesable folks here can shed a light on this thing. Does Molly's problem have to do with what I experienced or am I grasping something out of thin air?
Hang in there, Molly. I am sure that it must be very annoying and hurting your pocket (and all of us who are experiencing the same thing). Check with your server and hear what they have to say; they may be busily working to right the problem.
Chao,
Lucinda

Hi Molly
Just in case.
Last week, while servicing a friend's client and account that apparently refused to work, we realized there was a notice on the email.it homepage where they explained how to update your email client's settings as they have moved from POP to IMAP access.
Best luck
