Since you seem to live in New York, NYU has a translation department (I have also heard good things about their programs, but cannot vouch for them), you might check there.

Washington State is the only state to offer medical certification May 6, 2008

I took a medical interpretation training class in VA. we learned that the only State that offers certification in the present is the state of Washington, other states offer training classes but none of them are certifications. As for court, just like the others suggested, do some research in the internet, I am sure you will be able to find a lot of information about court certification, I know that in VA. they are offered twice a year. http://www.courts.state.va.us/main.htm This is the link to the Virginia Judicial System page maybe you could find some links there.

Good Luck!
