Qualcuno sa dirmi come si può ottenere e in cosa consiste la certificazione ISO?
Bisogna seguire dei corsi e quanto costa? grazie

Ma credo che una certificazione ISO per un traduttore free-lance sia una cosa non necessaria.
Mi sembra che esista addirittura una norma specifica per il settore delle traduzioni derivata dalle ISO, ma considera piuttosto le agenzie che i traduttori liberi professionisti.
Se hai veramente l\'intenzione di farti certificare dovresti rivolgerti a un consulente specializzato che ti farà tutte le proposte necessarie in merito (sviluppo dei processi e delle procedure, redazione ... Se hai veramente l\'intenzione di farti certificare dovresti rivolgerti a un consulente specializzato che ti farà tutte le proposte necessarie in merito (sviluppo dei processi e delle procedure, redazione del manuale di qualità) per poi richiedere la certificazione di un ente autorizzato.
Conosco un ingegnere \"indipendete\" che era, mi sembra, il primo professionista in tutta Italia a farsi certificare secondo ISO 9000 ecc. . Gli è costato la bellezza di quasi 20.000 Euro, quindi, non so se è una cosa che conviene (sempre se non esistano formule specifiche per noi).
Parlando francamente, io sono molto scettica e critica in generale per quanto riguarda i cosidetti \"sistemi di qualità\" che a mio avviso contribuiscono solo a produrre più carta e non necessariamente garantiscono anche un prodotto di qualità (conosco alcune ditte che sono certificate e nonostante...). Non poche volte a mio avviso sono solo una \"Arbeitsbeschaffungsmaßnahme\", come si dice in tedesco. Si è un po\' inventato l\'acqua calda, perché chi forniva prodotti di qualità prima aveva determinati sistemi efficaci che comunque garantivano ciò. Chi invece no, anche con il suo \"sistema di qualità\", insomma, ho i miei forti dubbi (perché ho visto)... La \"qualità\" a mio avviso non è una cosa che si può ottenere mettendo in atto procedure, processi, carte e moduli, ma deve essere un concetto presente nella mente delle persone, nelle loro attidudini, la loro coscenza. E le persone difficilmente si possono ridurre a macchine meccaniche, anche se si ama parlare tanto al giorno d\'oggi di \"risorse umane\".
Solo che, purtroppo, si è creato un sistema ormai così ben radicato (lo definirei addirittura di stampo \"mafioso\"  )))))) ). Io grande ditta certificata secondo ISO ecc. che do lavoro devo avere i fornitori a loro volta certificati, altrimenti non mi rinnovano il certificato e così via... Beh, almeno in questo modo sono stati creati un bel po\' di posti di lavoro anche ben dotati, almeno qualcosa

Ti porto la mia personale esperienza, che pero\' si riferisce a quando lavoravo presso una azienda produttiva.
Il sistema qualita\' era ISO 9002 (acquisti, vendite, amministrazione, tutto escluso uff. tecnico) e poi ISO 9001 (anche ufficio tecnico). NB Ora si chiama Vision 2000.
Un sistema qualita\' e\' qualcosa che comunque esiste (anche solo in modo implicito) in ogni Azienda ma avere una certificazione (e sottostare ogni sei mesi a verifiche puntuali dell\'ente certificato... Tutto cio\' ha senso se porta valore aggiunto ad una attivita\'. Nel caso di una grande azienda cio\' e\' certamente vero, e vale anche per la certificazione ambientale (ISO 14000).
Costi: certamente non bassi pero\' ti puoi informare, a volte le Regioni o altri enti offrono contributi.

Tu sei un freelance o un\'\'agenzia? Se sei un\'agenzia (o una scuola di lingue)e la tua struttura lo \"sopporta\" - sia per costi che per organizzazione - allora la certificazione di qualita\' certo non e\' uno svantaggio, pero\' verificherei i benefici concreti che te ne possono derivare, prima di imbarcarmi in una avventura che sicuramente richiedera\' tempo e impegno.
Un ultimo commento: esiste una norma ISO sulle traduzioni.

New ISO standard will improve text quality of translations
The first International Standard for managing terminology in connection with the translation process is expected to result in an increase in performance and productivity for translators as well as improved text quality of translations.
Published by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) ISO 12616, Translation-oriented terminography, provides procedures to enable translators and translation support staff to record, maintain and retrieve terminological information quickly and easily in connection with their work.
ISO 12616 costs 104 Swiss francs and is available from ISO national member institutes (see the complete list with contact details) and from ISO Central Secretariat ([email protected]). The new standard is the work of ISO technical committee ISO/TC 37, Terminology and other language resources, subcommittee SC 2, Terminography and lexicography and working group WG 2, Terminography.
According to Gerhard Budin, Chair of ISO/TC 37/SC 2, ISO 12616 provides the international translation industry with a universal standard for the management of terminology. \"ISO 12616 will promote high-quality terminology work on an international level by increasing the reliability of translations and, at the same time, provide translators with a reference document for the language services offered to its consumers worldwide.\"
ISO 12616 is designed to help translators organize terminological information in order to keep track of, and reuse, their expertise, and facilitate cooperation between individuals or teams of translators, thereby improving the quality of the translation. Regardless of the language of the text, its field of application, or the type of document produced, translators will benefit from reviewing their record-keeping activities against the standard\'s best practice.
\"With the advent of the Internet, the need for language services such as translation and editing has exploded at all levels of the private and public sectors alike. The problems associated with monitoring the quality of the end-product make it even more essential to introduce quality control in terms of the production process itself,\" said Carol Eckmann, convenor of working group 2.
\"ISO 12616 is expected to be utilized in the tendering process for contracts for translation in the European Union and national government spheres, and will, hopefully, ultimately find its way into the private sector, where it is even more sorely needed. It will probably also be incorporated into the standard contracts for translation utilized by many national associations of translators,\" further noted Carol Eckmann.
ISO 12616 is applicable to the work of individual translators as well as to the work of a team or department, and can be adapted to form a basis for administering source-language texts, parallel text translations as well as other information such as bibliographies and references in the target language.
The new ISO standard is designed to assist translators, localizers, terminologists, linguists, information managers, database managers in companies, public institutions, translation and localization agencies.
