Hello everybody, and please don't be cross with me for not writing in Italian.

On behalf of an acquaintance, I'm looking for an Italian-to-English translator to help translate a few articles per month from a sports blog (http://storiedisport.wordpress.com/). The articles are mostly football-related, with other sports such as rugby or boxing thrown in for good measure. No financial compensation is envisaged, but I'm sure the blog authors will offer their gratitude for assistance.

Regrettably I don't know Italian well enough to risk translating or even proofreading someone else's translation, hence my plea for help.

Regards

Dear Gwidon,

I would suggest to address your post to English mothertongue translators maybe living in Italy for better knowledge of Italian sport events, so you don't need to write in Italian.

Good luck for your search

Carla

Hi Gwidon, Apr 16, 2009

You'll probably receive a better response if you post this as a job.

Even though it's unpaid it still classifies as a job - in fact something similar was posted earlier on today.

Best of luck,

Ivana
