How do I rate a kudoz question, if the answers are right as such, but did not solve my particular problem?

Julia

Decline the answers or close the question Oct 27, 2003

Hi Julia,
you have the option to decline the answers instead of grading them, or to close the question if you are not satisfied.
The appropriate buttons should appear under the question when you view the answers.

HTH,
Sylvain.

the question can be closed without grading. Just click the grade/decline button and you will see the available options.

but think of the glossary! Oct 27, 2003

Sylvain and Nathalie are right, but if your context was unusual, you might as well award 1 point or so to the answer that was nearest to it.
Consider that the ProZ glossary will be used by many people in the future, most of who will be looking for the general translation of the word and may be misled if it's called wrong without explanation.

If the answers provided weren't quite suitable for your context, you could decline them all. But, if you know there is one perfectly acceptable in some other contexts, you could still introduce it in the glossaries. It might still be useful to others.

Remember that no matter you decline all the answers, the question is still available through a KudoZ search. But, it's more convenient if it's in the glossary.

Regards,

Cali
