I just tried Kim Metzger's link (http://www.websitepulse.com/help/testtools.china-test.html) with regular proxy servers, by pasting the resulting URL into the "Enter Text Website" field, and did not work. However, when I used https://vidproxy.com/ to access "http://www.proz.com/kudoz," the test was successful.
According to the test site, I could get to the Kudoz page by going through Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
