Dear KudoZ users,
A small change has been made to KudoZ. Now, the "next" and "prev" arrows that appear at the top of KudoZ pages will send you to the next/previous question that meets your personal KudoZ preferences. Those preferences can be entered by doing a search on the main KudoZ page - http://proz.com/kudoz
(Note: Until now, the prev/next arrows had sent you to the next/previous question in the language pair and level of the question shown, without regard to personal settings.)
With this change, it is easier to browse through a list of questions that meet your preferred criteria, especially if you have multiple languages or are interested in specific fields.
.................
I want to take this opportunity to make a recommendation. For those who do not know, it is possible to set things so that you only see KudoZ questions in the fields of expertise that you care about. To do this, do the following (note: you must be logged in):
(3) Go to the KudoZ list page: http://proz.com/kudoz In the pull-down menu for fields, select "My KudoZ fields"
That's it - the KudoZ questions that appear to you on the KudoZ list page, and the KudoZ questions you reach when browsing using next/prev arrows, will only be those in your preferred fields.
Members who answer KudoZ are strongly advised to focus on their areas of expertise by doing the above. Benefits will accrue as we make changes site-wide to emphasize 'pro'-level questions and 'detailed' KudoZ fields of expertise. (The coming shift in focus was discussed previously in the forums: http://proz.com/topic/30718 )
Please let me know if you notice anything strange about the prev/next areas or have suggestions. ▲ Collapse
