Dear members,

We are doing some KudoZ upgrades. We will take KudoZ offline for 5-10 minutes a few times over the next several nights. We apologize for any inconvenience and ask you to allow a few more minutes than usual for responses.

Hi, Henry! Aug 9, 2005

What about the glossaries? Will they be down as well? I refuse to work without them!

Thanks!

Andrea

Questions, questions Aug 9, 2005

Dear Henry

In the French forum we have been discussing about these old KudoZ that remain open asked by inactive askers.
Sometimes the answers (sometimes all of them) have been declined. Even if they get several agrees, as they have been declined, the robot can't chose them and close the question.

In this topic http://www.proz.com/topic/35388 several of us have gone back to open questions, either ours or to which we have answered, but when the described situation happens the only solution I can think of is of hiding the declined answer and answering the same thing again and wait for agrees.

Is your KudoZ upgrade related to this kind of problems? Is it the good moment to look at it? Can you tell RoboProZ to close the questions chosing declined answers even if it doesn't give points????

Thanks for listening

Claudia

Questions expiration date Aug 9, 2005

Hi Jason

How about an expiration date of sorts for kudoz questions? No one really looks at questions older than, say, a week. How about closing all remaining questions after 3 months?

FWIW

Sarah

To clarify - KudoZ won't be different after these outages Aug 9, 2005

I should have clarified that what we will be doing that will take a few minutes is database maintenance in anticipation of the changes we will make to KudoZ over the next two weeks. You will not notice changes to KudoZ immediately after these periods of maintenance.
