Hi all, Not a big deal but would like to start some discussion about the following: 1. Got a couple of good feedbacks regarding answers to KudoZ questions. 2. With no glossary entries (and being confident about my answers), I have done it myself. 3. No extra 10 pts for an entry showing in my profile. I do not miss my points, but do find things not working as they should frustrating. Same applies to a topic earlier this week (20 points need... I do not miss my points, but do find things not working as they should frustrating. Same applies to a topic earlier this week (20 points needed to "ask asker"). I had an idea (not the answer) about the part of the question and had to use "Answer" (as I didn't have 20 pts at the time) to help asker. Why do we need 20 pts to help each other? How about founder, staff and moderators run a Quick Poll before introducing any new features? Rad ▲ Collapse | | | Juan Jacob Mexico Local time: 11:18 French to Spanish + ... 20 points (What points, Kudoz?) to help an asker? I'm I missing something? | | | Anne Goff United States Local time: 10:18 French to English + ...
The 20 point restriction has been removed. | | | Rad Graban (X) United Kingdom Local time: 18:18 English to Slovak + ... TOPIC STARTER I'm obviously missing something | Aug 22, 2007 |
If my answer is chosen for KudoZ, I'll get 4 pts. If there is no glossary entry and I do it myself, I can (apparently) get 10 pts for that. What have I missed "smarties"?

When your answer is selected by the asker you get 4 KudoZ points. When you enter the answer in the glossary you get 10 Browniz. Different points. ??? Read on though. Points don't bother me as much as the whole system. Rad | | | Juan Jacob Mexico Local time: 11:18 French to Spanish + ...
You said: "Why do we need 20 pts to help each other?" Still don't get it. You don't make yourself clear. Enrique, not always 4 points. And I don't think "smarties" is suitable.
Rad, If you entered a term into the glossary and you didn't get the 10 Browniz, you can either wait for a while (maybe the system is too slow), or submit a support ticket. But Enrique is right, you are mixing two different points, KudoZ and BrowniZ. I also think the 20-points restriction was stupid.

My appology to everybody and everyone for being silly/stupid - KudoZ vs BrownieZ. Still wouldn't mind some input from other members re: "Quick Poll" from the staff before any new feature is introduced. Rad | | | Maximum of 4 points | Aug 22, 2007 |

Juan Jacob wrote: You said: "Why do we need 20 pts to help each other?" Still don't get it. Juan, to use the "ask the asker" feature in KudoZ you needed to have at least 20 KudoZ points. I think that's what Rad is talking about. Apparently this has been removed now (see Anne's comment).
