Bologna - Italy - 6th and 7th June 2008

Venue: www.savoia.it/ENGLISH/Regency.htm

Early bird fees expire on 10th May.
The congress is open to the public (discounted rates for FIT members)
Simultaneous interpretation provided: EN-IT-EN, FR-IT-FR

The two-day event includes a plenary session addressing four key issues for today’s professionals: code of ethics, status of translators and interpreters, quality of translation services, and translation copyright.
Discussants will include presidents and representatives of the following
associations: ATA (USA), ITI (UK), CBTIP (BE), ATICOM (DE), CTPCBA (AR),
ADÜ-Nord (DE), ASTTI (CH).
The concomitant parallel sessions will focus on permanent training with a broad range of workshops designed to offer practical tips and professional updates.
Topics include: technical and medical translation, audio-visual translation, literary translation, terminology, localisation, and conference interpretation.
Several social get-togethers have been scheduled with coffee breaks, lunches and a dinner party on the evening of Friday 6th with musical entertainment.
As one of the rare events held in Italy in our sector, the AITI 2008 Conference is an exceptional opportunity for professional updates and an exchange of news and views. The Conference is open to the public on the conditions indicated on the registration form. We look forward to welcoming many of you to Bologna
