Felicidades a todos los que puedan gozar de este día de paz y tranquilidad. Pero me temo que nosotros, pobres traductores, tengamos que, un día más, seguir al pie del cañón y trabajando porque nuestros queridos clientes piensan que somos máquinas de trabajar y que los plazos hay que cumplirlos sea festivo o no.

Lo dicho, feliz día a todos y ánimo para los que, como yo, están un día más, enganchados a la máquina.

May Day, but not International Workers' Solidarity Day May 1, 2002

Having listened to 1st May broadcasts on Moscow Radio & Soviet Television at BBC Monitoring for 27 years, I haven\'t much sympathy with International Workers\' Solidarity Day, as they called it, but if you mean celebrating May day in the old-fashioned way with folk-dancing and children running round a Maypole, I\'m all for it, so good luck to all of us for 1st May in that sense!

I meant celebrating because we are alive, because we have family and/or friends and because we have work.



And dear Jack, bear in mind, I´m Argentine...



Heard about the situation in my country, I guess?



How wouldn´t I want to toast with my proz friends all the assets that I have in my life?
