1.
Take a few days off from tedious work and join the Proz.com in-crowd in a truly international team-building exercise. The conference will take place on April 29th and 30th (Sunday and Monday), in the middle of a long weekend in most European countries.

2.
Attendants of Proz.com conferences are easy-going professionals who are eager to share knowledge and learn new techniques. Come to the conference to meet some very interesting, knowledgeable and fun people.

Look who’s coming

3.
The Budapest conference is set to become the most international Proz.com event ever. Participants will come from about 30 different countries. You make your living speaking in tongues - now this is your chance to practice your rusty or almost forgotten languages.
The more countries and languages are represented, the better value you can get from the conference.

Look who’s coming

4.
Conference program includes a wide range of subjects. A few examples: Terminology management, Quality assurance, Earning higher rates, Proz.com developments, Game localization, Literary translation workshop, Marketing plan for freelancers, Web design hints for freelancers, How to write an efficient CV, How to write a dictionary, etc.
The list is expanding, and I'm waiting for confirmation for two special lectures.

A professional and certified terminologist will join us from Switzerland to talk about terminology management.

List of proposed sessions

5.
Additional translation related sessions will take place before and after the conference. Trados training will be offered on April 28th and May1st. The American Translators Association (ATA) will hold their only certification exam sitting to take place in Europe this year.

A Wordfast training is also probable (for free), although this is not confirmed yet.

More details on these sessions

6.
Meet some of the most active Proz.com members in person. Henry Dotterer, Aurora Humarán, Mats Wiman, Ralf Lemster, Jerzy Czopik, Magda Dziadosz, Cecilia Avancena (aka Parrot) and many more.

7.
Come and see Budapest from the Danube. On the first night of the conference we will have a boat cruise up and down the river, with buffet dinner and live folk music for your ears and your feet.
On other nights, you can network even more by attending powwows. How many brownies can you get in an evening? One? Two? Or two hundred?

More details on fun activities

8.
If you can extend your stay with a couple of days, you will have a great time in Budapest, one of Europe's most favourite destinations. The conference venue and hotel is located in an elegant belle epoque neighbourhood, just a short walk to the magnificent Heroes' Square and a relaxing 15 minute walk to Budapest's favourite bar district.

More details on the venue

9.
Come and get an unlimited refill of cultural diversity. Colleagues will come from Australia and Austria, from Brazil to Bulgaria, from the UK and the Ukraine, etc.

Look who’s coming

10.
Make up your mind NOW. The early bird period runs for two more weeks. Current price for members is EUR 140 / USD 180. Also, if you intend stay at the hotel where the conference will be held, book your room now, as by now some two-thirds of the rooms are booked out.

More details on pricing and payment

+1.
If you only considered coming but you eventually do not attend, you will regret your decision once you start reading raving reports after the conference.

Make your decision NOW
