Interesting event for those interested in TEFL.
The International Association of Teaching English as a Foreign Language - IATEFL conference, brings together English language professionals to debate and explore new issues in English language teaching. The next conference is taking place in Aberdeen, 17-22 April. We are playing a major role at this event with colleagues from many British Council offices delivering workshops and presentations, a state-of-the-art stand to showcase our work in English to over 1,500 delegates, and activities involving our Hornby Scholars.
This year, through an exciting partnership with IATEFL, the British Council is extending the reach of the conference, allowing more people to participate free of charge during and after the event via the internet. This is a first for the IATEFL conference and an exciting step forward in widening access to the global debate on English – one which we would like to invite you and your contacts to join in so that you can contribute to the discussion. Registration and participation is now open at
http://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/iatefl2007/index.shtml The web coverage will include video and audio recordings of presentations and workshops, interviews with presenters and delegates, as well as daily blogs from reporters from the ELTeCS network. The coverage will be interactive and provide participants with an opportunity to contribute to a series of on-line forums which will run alongside the Conference. We look forward to meeting you to there!
Thanks
