By courtesy of Gosia and Iris from the PT-list, here are some details for those who can manage to attend the funerals (in Germany), or who wish to do something more private : (Note : the funerals being in Germany, let me also copy the German version of the details, to avoid any mistake about the rendez-vous).
1) Funerals :
the funeral is scheduled for
> monday 23.12 02
> in Wassenberg-Orsberg
> in the chapel of the cemetery
> at 10.00 a.m.
> Iris has talked to the secretary of David\'s office , she said that she
> would like to know how many people want to come (if possible) I think the
> chapel is rather small. David lives in the country.
> Here is the information in German:
> Die Beerdigung findet am Montag, 23.12.2002 um 10:00 Uhr in der
> Friedhofskapelle in Wassenberg-Orsbeck statt.
Ich mochte Euch also bitten,
> mir kurz Bescheid zu geben, damit ich es ihr mitteilen kann (wie immer auch
> gerne privat)
2) Flowers - they are accepted - the address is (except for them who can manage to have them delivered to the chapel) :
3) Another possibility :
It seems that David had scheduled to make a donation to a charity. So, those who want to associate themselves to his memory can also make a donation to the S O S children\'s villages
here is a link to the foundation to which David said he intended to make a donation in one of his last posts to his friends.

Thank you so much Catherine for posting this information.
I just went to the website and made a donation online. It is extremely quick & easy to do - all you need is your credit card.
These are wonderful projects.
David gave so much to us all, this is the least I could do in his memory...
Thank you Catherine for having given me this opportunity to further give my respects in memory of David.
