Seen a couple of weeks ago on a menu in The Gambia:
"BABA GANOUCHE
Grilled aborigines with nuts and herbs".
Delicious ... and I thought cannibalism had died out ...

Here is another menu gem, from a little French restaurant that had a bilingual menu. We quite often ate there during our first years in Rabat. That was long time ago, but we still remember enjoying their
"needles with Frenchies".
In case you need help, that is brochettes with French fries, so more digestible than it sounds.
While I"m at it, I'll share a memorable EN slogan on a delivery truck seen in Connecticut.
"GRANDMA'S OLD-FASHIONED COOKIES-
Untouched by human hands!"
Regards to all,

In Cyprus, many years ago, I went to a restaurant which served:
GOD & CHIPS
I'm sure it tasted divine!

Grabs in Curry
(I believe the picture showed a crab)
Another I regret not photographing was in China on the ingredients list on a packet of dried sweet potato: "The sweet potato f**ks."

I was once asked to translate a menu that included vanilla ice cream and fruit couilles...
(When I gave up and asked the chef, he really meant coulis.)
