I was referring to adjectives in English, Bala!
Agreed, in the Royal Navy a ship is (or was?) referred to as "she", but the adjective describing the ship would not change to become feminine.
e.g. HMS Victory is an ancient warship.
"Ancient" here does not change because, in English, adjectives don't change according to the gender or sex of the thing or person described.

Transgenders form a distinct community in India who are called hijaras. Until the coming of the prudish British colonizers with their restrictive Victorian values, they were well integrated and tolerated in the Indian society. However, the British found the practice abhorrent and immoral and outlawed it and termed the entire hijra community as a criminal tribe. In the article whose link is given at the end of this post, is a brief historical background of Indian transgenders, the hijaras, and a bio sketch of one particular hijra who began life as Doraiswami, a boy, and eventually transformed into a feminine individual assuming the name of Revathi.

This case is interesting for this thread from the point of view of pronoun use as the author starts off with a male pronoun "he" as that is how society perceived this individual, but later, as the author traces the internal predilictions of Doraiswami and his feminine preferences, he switches to the feminine gender "she", all in one article and while referring to the same individual.
