Dear colleagues,

Novell (as in Novell's SUSE Linux) is running a survey in order to find out what Windows-only applications you need, that would prevent you from switching to Linux. They want to lobby the manufacturers to release Linux versions of their software.

Even if you have no interest in switching to Linux, PLEASE go to this page and complete the survey, specifying your favorite CAT tool. It would take only 2 minutes of your time and you would be making the whole translation community a great gift.

You can find the link below.

http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16646.html

Once again, PLEASE!

Thank you.

Vlad

Thanks for the link Jan 29, 2006

I'll be happy to support Linux program developers! Hope the translators soon have the option to use Linux as their work environment.

Soon? I have been using Linux exclusively since 2003.

but I don´t need any Windows apps... Mar 29, 2006

I´ve been using Lilnux for 5 years.
Not a single crash, virus or intrusion, and I have all the software I need to perform all of my work for FREE.
I don´t understand why anyone uses Windows at all, quite frankly.
I see friends and family shell out big bucks for software, only to be plagued
with viruses and crashes and other annoyance, and then shell out more money for AV and firewalls etc., etc...and still not solve the problems...
Not for me.
I´m never going back.
Linux RULES!

Since 2001, here.
No crashes, no viruses, no lock-ups, no intrusions, no nonsense.
Just paying the rent....
And NOT paying for software.
You gotta love Linux!

I'm currently migrating from Windows to Linux and find nothing I want to keep from Redmond's offering.

Most of the packages I've been using in Linux seem as good if not better than their Windows counterparts; even the command line interface (MS-DOS prompt or cmd.exe, depending on Windows version) is a poor relative.

Perhaps I ought to reformat the remaining Windows installs and ditch them completely.
