Hello, I'm currently doing a paper work on Hamlet's monologue into Spanish. Do you know of any Spanish version on the net? It would be also a great use to have links of topics related to it: Literary translations, comments on translations of Hamlet, translations of Hamlet into other languages, etc.

I have looked for some of that already and what I've encountered the most are different interpretations of Hamlet, and studies on different aspects of this play. However, I have troubles in finding different translations of it.

Thank you in advance,

Claudia

P.S. I'm going to check for any answers on Sunday morning

http://www.lamaquinadeltiempo.com/shakespeare/hamlet.htm seems to have the full translation and/or should give you enough clues for Google.

Regards,
Gerard

Found Resources on Hamlet Aug 29, 2004

Thank you for your helping me. I finished my paper work which was my thesis dissertation. The only translation to Spanish I found was the one mentioned by Gerard. However, I found other interesting resources on Hamlet:

Hamlet Online--This is a valuable site with plenty of useful links. Anyone interested in the play should check it out.
http://www.tk421.net/hamlet/hamlet.html

Shakespeare's sources in the Histories
http://ise.uvic.ca/Library/SLT/history/sources.html

Hamlet's Soliloquy (Quarto 2)--This is Q2's version, but by browsing the site one can find other versions as well as comments on them. Very useful
http://web.uvic.ca/shakespeare/Annex/DraftTxt/Ham/Ham_Q2/Ham_Q2Scenes/index.html

An essay relating Hamlet and Quijote by Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes--For Spanish-speakers only. Fuentes is as good as usual.
http://www.rpi.edu/~moralj/CFuentes.html

The Legend of Amleth in which Shaespeare's Hamlet is inspired--This is an electronic account of Grammaticus' record of the Danish Legend
http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/amleth.html

Thomas Eliot's essay on Hamlet--Not everyone loves the play

Thank you again

Hi, I didn't see it before. Although it looks simmilar to others, I always trust more those sites sponsored by a university, as this appears to be. I already presented my thesis dissertation, but still I'm going to take a closer look later since the topic is captivating.

Thank you
