Isn't it true, though? Apr 28, 2005

Mine (growing up bilingual) was "The way to success is to speak the language of the master race better than they do!" (No offense, folks).

But then, they transplanted me to Germany (10 years old) and I had this terrible cocoon feeling for six weeks, as though I were part of a branch not getting anywhere. Until the day I had a nightmare in German - I had turned into another insect (sorry, Kafka).

I started the process again much later, in France. And now - totally schizoid

Nuff said...

Often, what you hear over the headsets sounds better than what you hear on the floor
