Foe by C
Thread poster: Marcela Robaina Boyd
The first book I read by Coetzee was "Foe", and right from its cover I couldn't keep wondering how I would translate the title into Spanish,if I decided to translate it. Translation loss would be great and unavoidable in these three letters, one word and a(?) meaning, and --what's most important-- part of a famous surname (Defoe). As far as I know, it hasn't been translated yet into Spanish. What's interesting is that great (modern) authors of fiction pose problems to translators that used to be encountered mostly when translating poetry.

Hi Marcela, it looks like it has been translated into Spanish and look what title the translator chose:
de COETZEE, J.M.
Encuadernación: RUSTICA (BOLSILLO)
