The fly

Little Fly,

Thy summer\'s play,

My thoughtless hand

Has brush\'d away.

Am I not

A fly like thee?

Or art not thou

A man like me?

For I dance

And drink & sing:

Till some blind hand

Shall brush my wing.

If thought is life

And strength & breath:

And the want

Of thought is death;

Then am I

A happy fly,

If I live,

Or if I die.

William Blake

Don\'t you love W. Blake? I do and I wanted to share this with you.

Carpe Diem

Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I\'m, too, like Blake very much.

À propos, have you read Ethel Lilian Voynich\'s \"The Gadfly\"? The hero (Arthur) quotes these lines when he chooses to die free...

There are quite a few good translations of this poem into the East-European languages.
