what do translating and painting have in common? Legitimate question I guess but I dont care about the answer - I do both. Vito PS: I just picked one - there's more, much more... PPS: just in case (... and if Google happens to drop by;) http://www.proz.com/profile/91005

Could you explain that?
Very clever, Vito.... | Aug 22, 2007 |
... and I'm so glad that you are a "benign" hacker! But if you can do this, what can the more malicious ones do? Question about security for staff?

Hi Vito, I was a bit schocked at first (after all those threads on security and stealing other poeples data) but as I saw Monikas post I realized that was just a joke. I agree completely with William. Regards, Lucija
to be amazed, I guess! Quite scary, isn'it? Well, just back from my summer break I WAS SCARED to say the least... Vito, I hope we are not going to share our profiles forever though Have a nice day everyone, Silvia

Could you explain that? I saw the same in my case. Can you please update that pic for me Vito? I shaved the beard off after last year's Powwow in Düsseldorf when it got covered with fuzzy matches. Cheers Chris
not my kind of joke | Aug 22, 2007 |
I was a bit schocked at first (after all those threads on security and stealing other poeples data) but as I saw Monikas post I realized that was just a joke. If it was intended to be a joke, Vito should have informed about it.

I got to see my own profile too - at first. After clicking 'reload' Vito's profile did come up. My guess is, this wasn't something Vito did, but a glitch in ProZ. BTW, the picture on Vito's profile is nice (once you get there).

Earlier this morning it did work fine, but I think Vito should insert an extra line break after the URL 20:15 CET next guess maybe there's no space between the smiley and the URL

remove the extraneous matter at the end of the URL and you can see Vito's masterwork... Strange bug though. That extra material at the end of the URL meant that we all saw Vito's name and specialisms on our own profiles.
Funny bug :-) | Aug 22, 2007 |
I think you need a space, not a line break, after some URLs..

Dear friends, Romans etc This is no hack (but seems like "its really happening", as Rosemary would exclaim )... whatever it is, it has absolutely nothing to do with me. I'll have the top message squashed of course. Sorry anyhow...

Could you explain that? Have just noticed that my CV is now under Vito's name as well. Isn't this identity theft? Am not impressed. Not very funny in my opinion. ProZ IT Department - you need to sort this out!
