Hi all,

I have been asked to give an estimate for localising a website from Spanish to English but I don´t have any tools to calculate the amount of words on the website. COuld anybody recommend a free or trial software to preform this task.

Thanks in advance

J

I use Total Assistant. I'm sure there are better tools, but this one is free and very easy to use.

Total assistant - how does it work? Jul 15, 2008

Marta, I had a quick look at Total Assistant - I had dreams of a nifty little program that just counts all words on a website without me doing anything, but it does seeem you have to "feed" files to it. How does it work when you need a word count for a website?

You guys should try our new free website word count tool Nov 3

Our program does all the magic (it downloads all pages of the desired website and counts words, chars with spaces, chars without spaces and word density). The software is still in beta stage so it might not work like it should. Get it here: http://www.transis.it/Sitecount
