There are several programs you can use to localize software and websites.
Any editor can help you to localize webpages, but it is more complicated for software localization.

You can use a translating tool (Trados is the one that is used by more people, but Déjà vu, Transit, etc are also good tools to translate executables, resources, etc.). These tools also allow you to translate websites without adding any extra codes).

But a good tool to localize software (at least, it is the best I have tried) is SDLX.

I hope that will help you!

Catalyst for software localization Sep 1, 2003

It's the best in my experience. Cat allows translation in WYMSYG mode, it creates a glossary of translations as you go and it accepts 2 more gloss (any txt format). This means that any translation memory exportable to a txt file (trados, wordfast etc.) can be uploaded for reference and matching.

Moreover, the QuickShip version is free. The complete version adds file and project management features, the QuickShip is good enough for any translation job.

Dear Valentina,

I clicked on the link you provided for downloading the Catalyst 8.0 but I could not achieved. I already registreted but even though I enter my username and password a new page appears, saying "Apache Tomcat/4.0.2 - HTTP Status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied"
So, what do you advise me?

I need help...

Thanks and regards,
