Hello all,
For some reason I can't open this handoff package with MemoQ Pro: http://www.sendspace.com/file/gbflsq
When I do I get a MemoQ warning saying "File handling exception" with the following details:
"TYPE:
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException
MESSAGE:
Impossible de trouver une partie du chemin d'accès 'C:\Documents and Settings\erka\Mes documents\My MemoQ Projects\FSchultz\Translation Documents\TempImport\Remote Sensing and national forest inventories NFI_Koch_2.preview\Remote Sensing and national forest inventories NFI_Koch_2-filer\image001.gif'.

They sent a few suggestions, which didn't work. But they were quick and friendly They also offered more help, but I'd already refused the project.

I actually don't get that far opening the files. In any case, no, I wasn't given any credentials.
I was actually shouted at and subsequently ignored for not being able to open the file The translation agency, who doesn't own or use memoQ, stopped contacting me or replying my emails!

What version of memoQ do you use? I have translator pro 4.5.74 and it's the project manager edition. Maybe this is why I was able to open the package? If so, I'm surprised Kilgray support couldn't provide any hint about the package.

Doesn't sound like the client of my dreams! I fail to see how the agency could create a memoQ handoff package and send it to you if they haven't got memoQ in the first place. Maybe they have memoQ implemented as a back-end system and the person who generated the package used a front-end system in which memoQ is hidden from him/her?

Actually they got the memoQ package from their client and just forwarded it

Makes you wonder what value they add to the process, if they can't even view what they received from their client and won't be able to view what they will get from the translator.
Do upgrade to 4.5.74, although 5.0 is only a couple of weeks away. Installation of memoQ upgrades is pretty straightforward. However, I think all 4.5 builds should be able to open the package. Incompatibilities are usually between minor version differences (eg. 4.2 vs. 4.5) or of course major ones (eg. 3.x vs. 4.x).

I'm currently using Translator Pro 4.2 and I need to switch to Project Manager Edition. Despite the Kilgray site looks great, I was unable to find where to get a "Project Manager Edition".
So since you have it, you'll surely be able to tell me how you got it. Is Translator Pro 4.5.74 always a "project manager edition"?

"translator pro" is for translators, "project manager" is for project managers: it's a super-set of "translator pro" that includes extra features. You normally get the project manager edition as part of memoQ server: for instance, the memoQ serverFive package (http://kilgray.com/editions/serverfive) includes three translator pro licenses and two project manager licenses.
