paymeny sent to wrong id (paypal), what to do ?

Dear all,

A client has sent me the payment to my paypal, but to the wrong id ! What should I do ? I have sent him an email informing this, but should I click the 'deny' button in paypal page?

All advices are welcome.

Is the ID you provided an existent one or a non-existent one? Aug 15, 2008

I think the question is basicly whether the ID to which tthe client sent the payment is actually an existent one.If it is an existent one,I can hardly imagine that someone would be so honest to send to transfer you the money.If it is a non-existent one,then there is no problem,the bank or the WU(Western Union) system will sooner or later transfer the money to your account - you will have to provide a valid account of your own,of course.

clarify the matter with client before Aug 15, 2008

Perhaps you should make sure with the client that they have your correct details and that they will send you the paiement again, this time to the right account, before taking any action with Paypal.

I think that you have 30 days to accept/deny a paiement so there is no hurry.

Actually, I have 2 paypal id's, and I have mentioned the correct one in my invoice to this client. I have informed the client, and asked him to send the money to my correct id, as appears in the invoice. I have denied this transaction, and awaiting for my client's reply.
