Rate the raters! (Translation Agency Blue Board)

What is a 1 or a 5 rating from a translator worth?

It entirely depends on who the rater is!

Is he/she

- awarding 5 to all agencies he/she rates (i.e. brownnosing his/her own clients)

or

- using the 1 – 5 range (providing valuable information to his/her colleagues)

or

- awarding 1 to all agencies he/she rates (i.e. telling the world that he/she is such a bad translator that he/she gets into trouble with every agency he/she works for)

?

Could ProZ provide the Platinum Members with access to the ratings in the form of an Excel spreadsheet with the rating translators on one axis and the rated agencies on the other axis?
