I know this must have been mentioned many times, but I can't seem to find the forum search function (is it still there??)
Anyone has any idea how much does a bank charge in the UK to cash a US cheque? An approximate idea would be fine.
Thanks in advance.

find out with your bank

You'll have to find out with your bank, or shop around. Smile charges £4 for cheques under £100 and about £6 for more than £100. NatWest charges a fortune because they charge for cashing the cheque and a commision for the currency exchange. The best is to ask in your own bank and in several others because it might be worth changing to a cheaper one.
