I was surprised to find this story when looking at the BBC site:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/moneybox/3047456.stm

"UK users of internet payment processing company Paypal risk losing their money because the company's insurance policy against fraud only applies to the United States. ..."

After all the UK experiences a lot of identity fraud in other areas too – the latest that came to light is number plate fraud.

In a country where ID cards are not compulsory it will be very difficult to get a reliable way to check who you are dealing with.

So why should insurance companies extent their cover to this part of the world when the risks are so much higher?

Greetings

Norbert
