Hi,

My client from Germany has postponed the payment. When I asked him for explanation, he claimed that he tried sending them from his personal account and it was blocked because it exceeded a quota that can be sent to outside Germany.

Does Germany have any specific regulations setting a ceiling to amount that can be transferred abroad from personal accounts?

I'm not in my office today, so I cannot properly research this, but there are no restrictions to international payments that I'm aware of. Depending on the amount, there may be a requirement to submit a report on the reasons for payment, for statistical purposes (but IIRC this applies to payments of EUR 12,500 or higher - not sure about Poland, though).
